For me the Far Cry games were good because there was always a development from 3-5. New features, outstanding intros and outros, challenging enemies, a cost for failure that imbued the experience with tension. Each one (even New Dawn) felt new and interesting to explore.
The gameplay is exactly what you expect from other Far Cry games, but the weapon customization is easily the best its ever been. But there is a bug i ran into recently where if you have max ammo then fast travel theres a chance for the game to take away your ammo for some reason.
