It's a great trilogy of games. The infamous mafia 1 race is toned down in difficulty and is skippable. I played on standard difficulty and completed it first time round. I’ve only played the Definitive Edition of 1 and it’s excellent. The gunplay is a bit janky, there is 1 semi hard racing segment in the middle.

Mafia 2 was also remastered and had the "Definitive Edition" title as well, so it could be either or Edit: I don't think you guys understand my point. I'm trying to say that they both had the Definitive Edition title, as does the GTA Trilogy, but Mafia 1 was a remake and 2 was a remaster. It could be either or.
In the definitive edition of Mafia it was so easy. In Mafia II though, there are barely any settings to be made. I checked the main menu and the in-game menu. Pls help. I dont think you can change the difficulty if you’ve already started the game, so if you want it easier or harder you have to start a new game.

Mafia Definitive Edition is NOT Mafia 1, despite it being first from a chronological/plot standpoint. I feel bad for you that you played Mafia DE first tbh. The reason Mafia 2 was so phenomenal when it came out is because we were so used to the clunky, terribly voice acted, bland unrefined gsmeplay of the original game. Mafia 2 was an insane
